Dr Anthea Tan

Dr Anthea Tan is a GP Anaesthetist who commenced work at Orbost Regional Health in 2008.  She completed her medical training at the University of Melbourne.  Prior to working at Orbost Regional Health Dr Tan worked as a General Practitioner in the United Kingdom.  Dr Tan’s areas of special interest include Anaesthetics, Palliative Care and Diabetes Management. 

Dr Mohit Sharma

Dr Mohit Sharma commenced work at Orbost Regional Health in July 2016.  He completed his medical training at Rajasthan University in India before moving to Australia in 2007.  Dr Sharma completed a Masters in Population Health at the University of Wollongong between 2007 and 2009. Since being in Australia Dr Sharma has worked at in Sydney, Hobart and Launceston before moving to Orbost.  Dr Sharma’s areas of special interest include Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine and Chronic Disease Management.

Dr Sam Inwang

Dr Samuel Inwang commenced work at Orbost Regional Health in October 2015.  He completed his medical training at Calabar University in Nigeria before moving to Australia in 2012.  Since being in Australia Dr Inwang has worked in ICU at Bundaberg Hospital and at Tarneit Road Medical Clinic in Werribee. Dr Inwang’s areas of special interest include Chronic Disease Management and Mental Health and Acute Care

Dr Miriam Athayde


Dr Miriam Athayde  graduated in Brazil in 1991 where she specialised in  Family Medicine.  She and her family migrated to Melbourne and later settled in the beautiful Lakes Entrance in 2011 to serve the local Aboriginal community as a GP.  Dr Miriam’s special interests are Aboriginal Health, Palliative Care, Chronic Diseases Management, Geriatric Medicine and Preventive Health.


She is the mother of three boys, including now adult twin boys. Outside Medicine, she loves gardening and has (very) recently started pottery.
