“I Want to Help People Get Back on Their Feet" - New Physio Joins Orbost Regional Health

New ORH Physiotherapist Jonas Hirang.

Whether it be a large hospital in the metropolis of Manilla, or a country hospital in the rural surrounds of East Gippsland, the goals of every physiotherapist are usually the same.

“I want to help people get back on their feet, and be able to do the things they want to do in their lives,” says Physiotherapist Jonas Hirang.

Jonas joined the Allied Health team at Orbost Regional Health last month, and is excited to recommence physiotherapy and other rehabilitation sessions for locals.

Educated and trained in the Philippines, and with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy, Jonas brings to Orbost significant experience in a busy hospital.

And so far he is loving the change of scenery.

“It’s my first time overseas,” he says. “I love how laid back and peaceful it is. I’ve found Australians to be very polite and friendly.”

Outside of physiotherapy, Jonas’ interests include hiking and diving, so he has definitely found himself in the perfect location here on the Wilderness Coast.

To learn more (or if you’d like a bushwalking buddy on your next adventure!) call Intake on 5154 6623 or email intake@orh.com.au and ask about Jonas’ physio sessions.
