Managing COVID at Home
For most people that contract COVID-19, recovery at home is the best care option.
This webpage from the Victorian Department of Health explains how to manage COVID-19 at home.
Visitors only are required to wear a facemask if they are visiting a patient in isolation, or a patient awaiting a respiratory PCR test.
Otherwise, facemasks are optional for visitors.
However, in special circumstances visitors may be asked to wear a facemask if nursing staff deem it necessary.
Visitors to Urgent Care and the Hollands Wing will no longer need to take a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) prior to entering the hospital.
Visitors to a Residential Aged Care facility - Lochiel House and Waratah Lodge - do still need to take a RAT per the Department of Health guidelines.
This will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
Monday – Friday: 10am - 12pm and 2 – 4pm
Weekends and Public Holidays: 10am – 2pm
Number of Visitors
There are no restrictions on the number of visitors in the hospital or aged care facilities.
However visitors are asked to observe appropriate social distancing.
