Understanding fees and accommodation costs

Residential aged care fees vary depending on individual circumstances.

Accommodation may generally be paid through a:

• Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) – a lump sum accommodation payment.

• Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) – a daily accommodation payment instead of a lump sum.

• Combination payment – a combination of RAD and DAP.

Other aged care fees and contributions may also apply depending on your circumstances and the Australian Government aged care arrangements that apply to you.
