Would you like to work while you study, kick-starting your nursing career?

Orbost Regional Health is seeking applications from individuals currently undertaking a Bachelor of Nursing (including double degree) and have successfully completed at least the first year of this course.

In this role, you will support the nursing team in the delivery of safe, personal, effective and connected care. You will work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse at all times, within your level of education and assessed competencies and also under clearly defined role parameters. All ORH RUSONs will be guaranteed an interview for the graduate nursing program.

Successful applicants must:

  • In 2023, be enrolled in your second or third year of a Bachelor of Nursing or a Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Midwifery or other double degree with Bachelor of Nursing component, with student registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board Australia (NMBA) via AHPRA.
  • Be able to provide a transcript of evidence of successful completion of your first or second year undergraduate Nursing studies from a University in Australia (whichever is applicable)
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; including relationship building, team cooperation, and conflict resolution
  • Have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with a wide range of people, including co-workers, health professionals, residents, patients and family members
