Six-Month Training Program in Orbost for New Careers in Health Industry

A new local training program helps people start a career in health and community care.

KEY POINTS

Would you like the local job security of working in the health and community care industry?

What if you could do a six-month course right here in Orbost, at the end of which you’d be qualified and ready to start a new career in this growing sector?

Orbost Regional Health is now partnering with the Alpine Institute to offer new local training opportunities for local people in health and community care.

Whether you are looking for a change in career, returning to work, or to work while you study or upskill, we want to hear from you.

The six-month Certificate III in Individual Support is designed for those who want to work in Aged Care services (residential care) and Community Home Support Services (CHSS) who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred care to people who may require support due to ageing or disability.

The course begins on 28 June, 2022, and will be provided both online and face-to-face at ORH.

If you’re interested and would like to know more, reach out ORH’s Director of Community Services, Mitchell Schwenke on mitchell.schwenke@orh.com.au or 5154 6635.
